Massage Aftercare Advice

To gain maximum benefit from the treatments, please for the next 24 hours:

  • Try to drink plenty of water or herbal tea

  • Make time to rest and relax

  • Try to cut down on smoking and caffeine

  • Try to avoid alcohol and heavy meals


Occasionally, you may experience something called a “Healing Crisis” after a treatment as the body starts to go through a self-healing process.  Typical reactions include…

  • Increased thirst and urination

  • Increased release of mucus in the nose or mouth

  • Heightened emotions – high or low. Due to the release of tensions.

  • Headache

  • Tiredness - caused by the release of toxins. After the tiredness has gone, you should feel refreshed and energetic.


This is very normal and it is a positive sign that your body has responded to the treatment and that it is starting to balance itself and flushing out of the toxins. Drinking water or herbal teas can help speed up this process and also serve to reduce symptoms.

It will be replaced by a feeling of well-being!
